Sunshine Through the Rain

I woke up two days ago with a swamp in my walk in closet. Our water heater had been slowing leaking all over the back of our garage, and the water had seeped through the wall, and was inside the house. What a nightmare. We have been spending our weekend with contractors in and out of the house, repairing the broken water heater, construction crews, and the home owners insurance too. On Monday, they will be breaking open the wall in my closet to assess the damage to the wood, and make sure there is not mold. I have 5 industrial fans blowing, and a dehumidifier running in my room. Needless to say, it is very warm in there from all the appliances!! The one thing keeping us sane is a very special visit from my parents, my brother, and Gracie, (my father has been buliding homes for a living the greater portion of his life). He was able to talk the talk with these people regarding the damage to the home.

Studious

After being super curious about the human body, and umbilical cords, and belly buttons, I had to break out my Anatomy and Physiology book for Bella. Now, of course, I wanted to mediate what she saw, and really only show illustrations. I showed Bella a drawing of a pregnant belly with the baby inside, and the umbilical cord attached. She was so fascinated, that she started flipping through the book like mad. At that point, I had to take to book away, actual photos of anatomy is a little much for a 3 year old I think. I then gave her my "drug guide for nurses" and she was intrigued by all the pics of the pills that are out there. Budding scientist I suppose??

All this studying is making my head spin!

Happy Valentines Day, Friends!

Went on location with our friends to take some really fun Valentines Day portraits. With a little help from the hubby the session went very well!

I have always loved this Liberty print. I love the one with Red strawberries, but was able to get my hands on some with plum instead. This pintuck blouse is currently in the works..

Fresh Squeezed

Bella helped me squeeze the grapefruit this morning that we so gratefully received from Grandma and Grandpa's tree! She even drank the juice (with a little sugar mixed in). She was a little scared though, of the electric juicer. "It's too loud, I don't wanna!" she kept saying!

So much fun today

If you live here and haven't been, run, don't walk, get a membership! I can't believe it took us so long to visit. We will be back weekly, (we hope) OOOOOdles of noodles

Oh my gosh, you should see this massive play area with balls, tents, and these insane tubes that carry scarves and little balls high into the air, then they come popping out at the end.
