Happy Birthday Ivy!

Today is Bella's good friend Ivy's first birthday! We celebrated this morning with breakfast, bannana pancakes and delightful hashbrowns. Ivy's mommy has been wanting "The Rookie" baseball pants for Ivy for a long time, for the New York Yankees spring training games...Well, of course that is what she got. She wanted them custom made with Navy trim on the bottom and a gray button instead of the original red. I can't wait to get pics of Ivy wearing them. They look great on boys as well as girls, and Ivy's sister Ella is next in line for a pair, thank goodness her birthday is only two months away. Then there is brother Rowan, he will need a special pair made custom as well since he is only 2 months old! I will have to make him a Jr. Rookie pair. Happy Birthday Ivy! We love you!

Birthday Shirt

Bella and I received this wonderful piece today in the mail from a very talented designer whos shop we just adore. I have been looking at her things for quite some time now, and finally gave in, and treated Bella. We call it her birthday shirt, she will wear it for her 3rd birthday party in a few weeks. Now I just have to make her bottoms to match! See Jimin's shop Here. Be quick about ordering though, her items are highly sought after, and sell in a heartbeat!

New In Store

I quite simply needed something lightweight for Bella to wear the rest of the summer. I started on this blouse yesterday, and meant for it to just be sleeveless, but had to add more. I love the way it turned out, and decided to offer it in store. I love that it is white, she needed something that would match a lot of different things. I love that it is so roomy around the middle, very swingy....

Swing Top

My latest venture, this airy "swing top." I love to show pieces that are a work in progress, show how raw things look, before the final finishing touches.

Since my child won't wear clothing anymore, I am on a mission to create something for her that is light, breezy, and hey, maybe she won't even notice she is wearing. Today I had fun experimenting with this fabric I have had for awhile. It is very sheer, a dream to wear, so it seems. I can't decide weather to leave this top sleeveless, put a tiny ruffle sleeve, or maybe even an elasticised sleeve. Nevertheless, I plan to launch my attack on a certain unsuspecting someone when she rises from her nap (to try it on, and decide)......

The line up

Bella and I have been sick with a cold for several days. We have been bummin around the house today since I drove myself into the ground working at the hospital this weekend while coming down with a cold. Grandma gave Bella a huge Play-doh set that was cousin Madeline's, and it is a huge hit. These are Bella's latest creations, I know, over the top, I am taking pictures of her Play-doh monsters, but she was so proud!
Bella and Grandpa playing "ocean" in the backyard. Bella loves to pretend now, and on this day, Grandpas' backyard was the beach, complete with beach chairs.

What is it with kids and watering cans? Bella loves to "water" all the plants in the yard. Yes, in her underwear.

In the land of make believe

For the first time ever today, Bella was performing "imaginative play" as I call it. She and I dressed up like " princesses, and took a self portrait. I simply love the bent Cinderella crown, don't you?

Feminine Frill

Just experimenting with some more things for ME. What fun, I am all of a sudden into feminine summery fabrics. I think it has taken me this long to accept that summer has been upon us for quite some time now. I am still holding strong to the grays and blacks of winter.. This blouse is my newest creation, and the design matches the "Prairie Girl" blouse in store now for little girls. I wish I had more of that Plum and Cream fabric, to make a matching one for me, but I only bought a very small run of that one. This blouse will be in store soon, and at a great price. It will be available in one size, up to 35" bust. Get a matching one for you and the gal you love:)

Slice of Heaven

New Mexico, Land of Enchantment. Our recent trip to the cabin, was just the break that we needed. Here is the front door to the "garage." The loft in the garage is very roomy, we slept there cozy tight. Raincoat worn even when not raining!
Daddy made a fort for Cousin Madeline and Belle.
Not sure about the boat ride...

Sure about the fish, this is really cool!!!!!!!!!!

Tall Order

Recently, Bella and I had a very large order that was placed by an owner of a shop by the name of "Emporium" in Coral Gables Florida. She and I had so much fun running through my inventory, attempting to choose items for her shop that would sell to some of her most frequent clients. She wished to have some of my favorites in summer colors. The "Breezy Blouse" in natural linen with brown binding. Also, the "Lily of the Valley" top in a butter yellow. All in all, what an experience, I have never worked so steadily and efficiently. It was a "tall order" that's for sure.

Company

Bella had her friends over today, phew! What a zoo! The kids are always so good, and play so nicely together. We cherish these times with our dear friends. Bella is the one learning the potty thing right now, and everyone else wants in on it.
